What is Self Storage?
We rent secure public storage rooms for business and personal use. You have control over what is stored in your storage unit. You own the lock and keep the key to your storage locker. As a renter, your rights are protected through a rental agreement.
Who rents self storage?
Our business clients include lawyers, accountants, and doctors storing office documents; retail businesses storing merchandise, furniture and telecommunication equipment; and contractors storing construction equipment and building materials.
Our individual users include homeowners preparing to sell their homes, or begin remodeling projects; automobile or motorcycle owners storing their vehicles over the winter months; students going home for the summer, travelers storing household items while overseas, and apartment dwellers or homeowners needing extra space for seasonal items.
How to Rent from Us?
First, give us a call. We'll provide you with current unit availability and prices. If you decide to rent from us, we'll ask you to review and sign our rental agreement. For your convenience, we can meet with you at our office at the storage facility, or if time allows, mail the rental agreement to you. Your first month's rent and and administrative fee are required when the rental agreement is signed. We'll work hard to meet your storage space needs and schedule.
What size self storage units do you have?
We rent a wide variety of storage locker sizes. Our smallest storage spaces are great for storing boxes and clothing. Our largest storage warehouses can hold the furnishings of a four bedroom house or an automobile. Please see our table of storage unit sizes.
How much does storage space cost?
The monthly rental rates for our storage units depend on the location you select and the unit size. Climate controlled units are more than our non-climate controlled units. Please contact us for a self storage price quote on a unit that will fit your specific needs.
Are my items insured?
As with most self storage warehousing facilities, we do not provide insurance for the items in your storage unit. However, your homeowners or renters insurance may cover self storage. Please check your insurance policy, or call your insurance agent. You may purchase insurance provided by Safestor through a Super Storage store.
Are the storage units dry?
Yes. We've taken special precautions to keep your items dry. Each facility is designed to move rain and surface water away from the self storage units. The storage unit floors are specifically engineered to prevent water from entering under the storage unit doors.
Are the storage units heated?
We have climate controlled storage. These units range in size from 5' x 5' to 10'x 30'. Consider renting a climate-controlled space for the following items: leather furniture, musical equipment, pianos, crystal/glassware, books, electronic, equipment/devices, computers, fine linens and clothing, mattresses, business files/records, oil paintings, pharmaceutical products and cleaning supplies. Also, it is much nicer to access a heated storage space in the dead of winter and a cool one in a summer heat wave.
How long can I stay - or do I have to stay?
As long as you wish. The minimum rental period is one month. Our rental agreements based on a month to month tenancy. We ask only for a 10-day termination notice prior to the end of the month.
Do I provide my own lock?
Our lock requirements depend on the storage facility location, your needs and what you select.
Tenants may provide their own padlock or can purchase a lock at any facility. We feel that padlocks provide an adequate level of security, but we recommend cylinder locks such as the one on the right as these are extremely hard to remove without the key. A cylinder lock can be purchased from us at low cost.
Again we feel that our cylinder lock and latch system is better than the typical padlock/latch system for drive-up self storage facilities. The trend throughout the self storage warehouse industry is towards cylinder locks as a deterrent against theft.
When can I access my storage unit?
You have access to your storage unit 6am to 10pm, 7 days per week.
Do I go into a building to access my storage unit?
The self storage units are outside and inside with access at ground level. Inside units are heated and cooled. You can drive your vehicle right up to your public storage unit door or the building door. We have dollies and moving carts for your use.
When do I pay my rent?
Your rent must always be paid prior to the beginning of the storage period. If paid after the 5th day each month it is considered late and a late fee is applied. You can pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or yearly. Payments can be made by cash, check, credit card or money order. You can pay automatically through automatic monthly debits to your credit card, debit card, checking or savings account, or pay online
Can I change to a different size storage unit?
Yes. If your needs change, we'll make every effort to facilitate your move to a different size mini storage unit.
Are there any items that I can not store?
Yes. You can not store food, perishable items, flammables, explosives, hazardous wastes, etc. Our lease describes these restrictions in more detail. Please contact us if you have questions on storage of a particular item.
